OK my friends.
This is the page where I try to encourage you to not only to
BUT Improve yourself with a new skill.
In this case…
In other words…
Do It Yourself.
Where, instead of taking the easy and if I may say so, the lazy way out
of buying something ready-made,
You Make it Yourself.
A process where-by you not only save money
but you learn a new skill to boot.
So, turn off the TV.
Put down that bottle.
Drag yourself off the sofa
and let’s go…
and not just any old woodworking
With literally thousands of woodwork projects including plans, Ted’s Woodworking has achieved an almost mythical status. Catering for the Beginner as well as the professional…
THIS IS WHAT YOU GET…
And once you’ve done that…
BUILD A SHED
Joking aside…I am the proud owner of TWO sheds, both very untidy and…this is the point…both very expensive.
There is no doubt in my mind if I had the skills I would have built them myself.
Let me make one thing clear it is not that I am lazy or have no interest in the woodwork necessary.
The Truth is, I unfortunately, am one of those people who can’t draw a straight line even with a ruler. I wish I could. But I can’t…it is something I have had to learn to accept.
As much as I’d like to throw together a chest of drawers, even a basic cabinet, the satisfying scent of freshly-sawn sawdust produced by the effort of my own sweaty hands is not to be mine.
So this little discovery of mine is for all you lucky people who can and do enjoy using saws, hammers and all that other stuff that is way, way beyond me.
